Saules dzīve puts an emphasis in historical development
Residential developer Saules dzīve has finished designing 30-unit apartment block in the historical development area of Chiekurkalns.
23 July 2006

The project was named Saules Ieleja (Sunny valley) and it will be situated on Chiekurkalns 2nd cross-line, amid quiet green space. However, it will also be in close proximity to main city transport corridors, which connect it to city centre, bypass roads and Vidzeme seashore.

Architectural planning assignment for the project was handed out to the architects as early as in December 2004. Its complexity consisted of taking into consideration the specific character of area development and creating accommodation which would meet the modern requirements of comfort in both inner and outer layout.

As it is usual with Saules dzīve projects, the number of apartments is quite limited, while their floor space (from 80 to 150 sq.m) satisfies the needs of a middle-class consumer. This is the first house that Saules dzīve is building outside its ‘home’ suburb of Purvciems, where many of their projects have found their ‘nesting ground’. This time building site selection was determined not only by three principles of realty evaluation (1. location; 2. location; 3. location), because Chiekurkalns is becoming quite a promising city district in connection to new Ministry of Home Affairs complex construction, Eastern main and major residential community development next to Mezhaparks. As stated by Saules dzīve executive Vladimir Tomson, today this suburb in undervalued on the market, which raises efficiency of investment into residential development of Chiekurkalns.
